  • Do you have a solid understanding of the basics?
  • Are you able to answer NCERT-level questions with accuracy?

If you can confidently solve these, you're on the right path to clearing the JEE Main exam.

Mock Tests: A Key to Improvement

Take as many mock tests as possible, and learn from your mistakes. Analyzing your weak areas and improving on them will significantly boost your performance.

Tips:

  • Focus on previous years' questions (PYQs).
  • Study NCERT chapters thoroughly grasp the concepts(in Chemistry).
  • Revise weekly or biweekly, make notes, and draw charts for better retention.
  • Memorize key chemical reactions(depends on you, First focus on scoring good score by doing easy topics, and later to improve score, you proceed for more advanced topics).

Note: Given the limited time, prioritize easy and scoring topics across all subjects—whether it’s physics, chemistry, or mathematics.

Key Topics to Prioritize

  • Chemistry: Topics like Metallurgy, Redox Reaction, Chemistry In Everyday Life, Atomic Structure, and important formulae are relatively straightforward and high-scoring.
  • Physics: Physics in JEE Main is generally easier compared to other subjects. If you have a basic understanding of all topics, you can easily score 70+.
  • Mathematics: Focus on areas that minimize the risk of negative marking and guarantee marks, such as Sets, Relations and Functions, Statistics, and Area Under Curve, and Logarithms. Note that Mathematics is time taking and you have to judge whether to attempt or skip problem.
